My trip to the beautiful city  Guangzhou

 First, I want to start by introducing myself. My name is Kristina, and I have lived in China for 10 years. I am a professional cover singer and content creator. Recently, I moved to Sanya and started my new island life. Due to the pandemic in past years, my life was quite similar to a rollercoaster, and more than that, I had no time or chance to schedule my travel plans. But finally, I had a chance to reschedule my time and plan a trip to the beautiful city Guangzhou. I am very excited to share this experience with you. You might have a question: why did I choose this city among others?

Guangzhou is a significant city in China\'s province of Guangdong. This city has a range of different places to visit; it\'s also a manufacturing hub with many different businesses inside and outside the city. Here, I could not only visit interesting places but also get a chance to see how China has been developing recently, and there is also great shopping, which I should not forget to mention. To sum it up in a few words, Guangzhou has a lot to offer tourists with different needs, and that\'s what I like the most about this city.

My adventure started late in the evening. I was overjoyed about my first trip in the past 3 years. Unfortunately, my flight was delayed more than three times due to weather conditions, but finally, around 12 PM, I got on the plane, and around 3 PM, I was already in Guangzhou. What surprised me was that even at this time, the airport was full of people from different countries and seemed like it was daytime, not nighttime. I just can\'t imagine how this place looks in the daytime! No wonder later one of my friends told me that Baiyun airport is the busiest airport in China by passenger traffic.

Finally, I got to my hotel. It\'s a cozy guesthouse right in the heart of Guangzhou, with the subway nearby and different attractions. I had time to rest after the road because, for the next few days, I planned to visit many places and try many adventures. Since it was my first trip in a very long time, I was ready to rock this city!

Day 1: Tourist Fair, Shamian Island, Canton Tower 

 My first day started with visiting one of the biggest tourist fairs in Guangzhou, GITF. I was truly amazed by its colors. So many beautiful tourist agencies gathered in one place with different performances, trying to attract visitors from all over the world. Later, I was invited to visit the tea exhibition and try out different brands of tea. That was a truly incredible experience. I do like Chinese tea, and every time I visit my homeland, Belarus, I buy different teas for my family, so this experience was right on my hands to learn about different Chinese teas and how you should drink them because, as you should know, the tradition of tea drinking in China is completely different from any other country. I have tried several teas, dived deep into tea culture, and enjoyed the performance of ancient tea drinking styles. It was a magnificent experience.

After the tea ceremony, I still wanted to walk around the fair. Suddenly, I found one place that was offering to try traditional Chinese clothes. I couldn’t miss this chance and tried out gorgeous clothing. My friends who were with me were hurshing me, and since we had all been up since morning and we were already hungry enough, we chose to go to a very local traditional Chinese Cantonese food restaurant. I did really like the place, style, and food itself, which was more than good! I\'m writing these and starting to drool!

After a really great lunch, we hit the road again, this time to see one of the must-visit places in Guangzhou, Shamian Island. A number of historical and cultural landmarks may be found on this lovely island in the Pearl River.

Here are some of the reasons why this place was on my \"must-visit list:

1. Beautiful architecture: you can find many stunning colonial structures from the 19th century, constructed by the British and French, so the whole vibe of this place is completely different from the rest of the city.

2. The whole area is very green and full of beautiful trees, so if you travel in the summer, you can easily hide from the sun under the trees.

3. Cultural and historical treasures of this place: here you can find many different museums and places where you can learn about the past of Guangzhou.

4. There is a big variety of restaurants and cafes, and more than this, each and every place has its own style and will be a perfect place for taking nice pictures.

 The overall impression of Shamian is that this place is peaceful and calm; you can escape the hustle and bustle of big city life and dive deep into the magical vibe of this wonderful place. I would highly recommend visiting this place so you can get a different vibe from this city.

After Shamian, we headed to another place and had dinner at a beautiful Chinese traditional tea house restaurant with a beautiful view of the city. After recharging our energy and filling the gas tanks (our stomachs), we have decided to check out Canton Tower. Canton Tower is one of the tallest buildings in China, and it\'s definitely worth visiting. Its height is 604 meters, and you can see the city from a bird’s eye. What I really liked about Canton Tower, unlike other tall buildings, is that it offers you not only a beautiful view but also a big variety of different attractions inside the tower, such as restaurants, a skywalk, a drop tower, and many more. What I have tried myself is \"drop tower\".

The drop tower is a free-fall ride that drops you in four seconds from a height of 560 meters to 450 meters. What can I say about it? It was the craziest experience of the past few years ! I was scared to death, but this adrenaline rush was worth it. I highly recommend taking this experience into consideration if you are a fan of new experiences and emotions! This is the kind of experience I bet you won\'t forget! With it, my second beautiful day in Guangzhou came to an end! I head to my hotel, enjoying the beautiful city and night lights on the way.

Day 2: Chimelong Paradise

 My second day started with meeting my friend at the hotel lobby. We planned to visit one of the most popular amusement parks in China, Chimelong. Before getting into the taxi, we grabbed a coffee at a local store and were ready to go on our new adventure. I was very excited since I don\'t even remember the last time I visited an amusement park. We arrived early in the morning, around 10, and got tickets right at the cashier. That\'s how our trip began. We took a map right at the entrance of the park, and first we decided to walk around and try the family roller coaster. We just wanted to start something with , thats was a great beginning. After we decided to check out the tallest and fastest roller coaster in China, actually  Chimelong has a big variety of different attractions inside, and one of the most amazing and breathtaking for me was, of course, the roller coasters. Also, you can get photos and videos after the ride if you want, for an additional price. At 14.00, you can enjoy a big and beautiful parade with different types of shows: dancers, singers, and really huge installations. I would definitely recommend checking out the parade part. And after that, keep enjoying the rest of the attractions.

Attractions that I would recommend are the Dive Coaster, 10 Inversion Rollercoaster, and Water Rollercoaster, which are the most breathtaking.

What I personally liked about Chimelong Paradise is the number of different rides and the many places you can take a break and rest. This park is surrounded by beautiful trees and bushes, which makes it look different from other amusement parks. If you like to have fun, like me, then it\'s definitely the place to visit in Guangzhou. Also, Chimelong has a nice place for a lunch break; portions are big and the food is eatable.

Putting all this experience together, Chimelong Paradise is a fantastic destination for a fun and action-packed day trip. Whether you go alone, with a friend, or with your family, you will definitely enjoy this park and your experience. Paradise\'s closing time is 18.00, so you can slowly walk outside and enjoy the views of the park. It was indeed a great day, and we finished it by riding a taxi through the city, enjoying the sunset from the windows of our car. This evening we finished with a beautiful dinner at a really great Mexican restaurant right in the heart of Guangzhou. With all spectrums of emotions and even a little bit of tiredness, we got back to our hotel to get more strength and energy before our last day in Guangzhou.

Day 3: Baiyun Mountain

 Baiyun Mountain is located not too far from Baiyun Airport. Guangzhou is a big city with a fast lifestyle, so at the end of the trip, I wanted to visit something special and catch a slow, peaceful moment, so Baiyun Mountain was a perfect choice for that. Those mountains are covered in beautiful flora. Peaceful scenery you can see from the top of the mountains; you can meet sunset or sunrise there. I would highly recommend starting your journey with a cable car trip; the cost of it is only 25 rmb, and it is completely worth it. You can enjoy mountain views from your cabin. It was such a joy riding in a cabin, enjoying my early morning coffee, and viewing all the mountains at the same time. After you get out of your cabin, you can also enjoy a view of the city from the tallest point in Baiyun, Moxing Peak, which rises to a height of 382 meters (1,253 feet) above sea level. It offered us a beautiful panoramic view of the city from a completely different angle. You can hike Moxing Peak yourself, or you can take a small tourist bus and go there in 10 minutes. My friend and I preferred to hike because we wanted to enjoy the beautiful view and scenery around us while we were hiking. After getting to the highest point, we couldn\'t miss a chance to make several breath-taking photos with this beautiful city view. Even though it was very hot, we still had the strength and courage to continue hiking and discovering the surrounding areas. Going down was quite a challenge because stairs are installed high in the mountains and the road is quite narrow, so it brings a little bit of a \"wow\" effect to your mind and body. Eventually, we made it, but not to the exit of the mountain, but to another amazing place that you absolutely must visit if you get to Baiyun Mountain: Bai Yun ZipLine Road (白云山飞素）With a length of 1,500 meters connecting the summit of Baiyun Mountain with the Huangpodong Reservoir, it is the longest zip line in all of China. In just two minutes, the ride can travel up to 120 kilometers per hour. The zip line is a well-liked tourist destination. The price we paid per person was 288 rmb, and if you are a student, you can get a really great discount, so don\'t forget your student card once you go there. I have never tried similar ziplines, so this was my first experience, and I really liked it. While you are literally flying from one side of the mountains to another, you are going to feel a spectrum of emotions! But one thing is for sure: the whole trip goes very fast. First you are scared, and then you are enjoying it with a relaxed feeling.

What a blessed day we had! Baiyun Mountain is indeed a must-visit place in Guangzhou. It has everything: beautiful scenery, numerous temples, different picks, and attractions. Baiyun Mountain has many different entrances. I would recommend that you start with the cable car road because, if you have limited time like me, I think it will be the best part to start with. You will enjoy your ride in the mountains, you will have a walk to some of the most beautiful places, and you can also enjoy a joyful zipline, but of course Baiyun is much more than this; it also has a tea house, a park with flowers, etc., so if you have more than a day, you could dedicate 1 or 2 full days to discovering most of the parts of Baiyun.

To gather all these emotions and incredible experiences together, I want to say that these 3 days have been a real blast, such a recharge of energy, and such a nice and joyful trip. I met new friends, visited new places, and, more importantly, learned new things about the country I have been living in for 10 years. It seems you have seen everything, but China is the place where you never stop learning and discovering! My trip to Guangzhou was fantastic, full of adrenaline and peace at the same time. If you have a chance to visit, you definitely must put Guangzhou on your travel plan list!
